Mission
The Knox Estate Garden Club began gardening on Monday September 14th, 2015. Their Mission is:
“To preserve, protect and renew the native plants in the gardens of the Knox Summer Estate. To encourage and educate our members and the public in their pursuits of gardening with nature”.
There are so many treasures to uncover and a diversity of perennial species that already exist in the gardens. The rustic charm of this country manor deserves to shine with the rich color the gardens can provide against the washed white building.
We are a growing number of gardeners in all different phases of knowledge and experience. We are learning from and with each other. It doesn’t matter if you can’t tell a dandelion from a daffodil we can use your help. All volunteers are welcome at all times. We have master gardeners on our team that will be pointing us in the right direction at all times. These gardeners have a wealth of information and they are volunteering their valuable time and hard work to help us reach our goals.
The Garden Club has two different types of membership: Active Members have all the perks of membership while Supporting Members are appreciated for their interest in what we are trying to accomplish.
